Chair Regina Young Hyatt called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. Regina shared with the Team the plan for outcomes assessment consultant Marilee Bresicani’s visit on April 2. The day will start with a breakfast for all Student Affairs division members to celebrate adoption of the SA Strategic Plan and the divisional vision, mission and values statements. (These are posted at the SA web site). We will give out cards, bookmarks and front desk displays imprinted with the Student Affairs vision, mission, values and motto. After the breakfast, a morning event will be held for Student Affairs personnel directly involved with outcomes assessment to discuss the general topics of outcomes assessment and student learning outcomes as they relate to Student Affairs. Dr. Bresciani will have lunch with Dr. Meningall and PAT members, while other participants enjoy lunch together. The afternoon session will be a workshop for SALT leaders on developing quality outcomes for assessment and how to measure outcomes using direct and indirect measures and various measurement techniques. The workshop will end with a discussion of how to feed results back into the program. Dr. Meningall and Charlene Herreid will have a debriefing session with Dr. Bresciani and that will end the day. Invitations for the events will go out today. Staff from the Regional Campuses will be invited to attend.
